A FLOATING PAINTING EXHIBITION OF ARCTIC ICEBERGS

THE RIVER DART | 08 JUNE - 02 AUGUST

RIVERS EXE AND TEIGN | DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED

The Melt, by Anthony Garratt, will float giant paintings of Arctic Icebergs in tidal locations on the River Dart from 8 June 2024.

The reference footage will be sent by inspiring, modern-day explorers of the Arctic landscape during their adventures.

The project is a poetic nod to the demise of these geographical marvels and also a tribute to the spirit of modern exploration.

In a reference to time, and changing global landscapes; as the paintings swing on their moorings and on each switch of the tide, the reverse of the painting panels will depict paintings of icebergs referencing photographs of Arctic Icebergs from the 1800s.
